Taner Özarslan

Chairman of the Board and CEO

Taner Özarslan, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of our company, began his career in Capital Markets and Finance in 1991, working as a professional manager at Akdeniz Securities, Pamukbank, Tekstilbank, and Gedik Investment. After 26 years in the professional business world, he founded Sparta&Co in 2017, engaging in numerous public offerings, M&A activities, and project financing. In 2024, Mr. Özarslan established Sparta Asset Management Inc., where he continues to serve as the 100% shareholder, Chairman of the Board, and CEO.

Taner Özarslan completed his undergraduate education at the Faculty of Economics at Marmara University. He is proficient in English and holds a 4th Dan Aikido license from the Turkish Wushu & Aikido Federation, a second-level teacher certification, and a 4th Dan Aikido license from the International Aikai Federation.

Semih Metin

Vice Chairman of the Board

Semih Metin is an expert in capital markets regulations, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and compliance processes. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Ankara University in 1997 and worked as a Specialist and Senior Specialist Lawyer at the Capital Markets Board between 1999 and 2012. In the private sector, he has provided consultancy services to both local and international clients on issues such as public offerings, securities issuance, mergers, shareholder agreements, and regulatory compliance. Between 2018 and 2020, he managed the legal department of a major media group, overseeing litigation and enforcement processes. Mr. Metin is married with one child and is proficient in English.

Barış KANTAŞ

Board Member

Barış Kantaş graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Gazi University in 1999. He earned his certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2006. Between 2000 and 2015, he worked as an accountant at various

accounting firms and private sector companies. Since 2016, he has continued his services as a self-employed professional by establishing his own office. He is still conducting accounting services through his office.

Uğur KONUK

Vice Chairman of the Board

Uğur Konuk, born in 1971 in Istanbul, completed his high school education at Istanbul Anatolian High School (1988) and his undergraduate education at Uludağ University Faculty of Economics (1995). Konuk began his professional career in 1993 as an Investment Specialist at Akdeniz Securities, where he worked from 1993 to 1994. From 1996 to 2000, he worked as a Research Specialist and Assistant Manager at Gedik Investment Securities. In 2000, he started as the Head of the Research Department at Tekstilbank Investment Unit. Konuk held the roles of Research Director and Economist between 2000 and 2011, and from 2010 to 2011, he served as Deputy General Manager responsible for Investment Funds and Individual Asset Management. Between 2011 and 2013, he was the Deputy General Manager of Bizim Securities. From 2013 to 2016, Konuk worked as a Portfolio Manager at Gedik Investment, and from 2017 to 2018, he worked as a Portfolio Manager at Phillip Capital. Between 2018 and 2024, he served as a Portfolio Manager and Corporate Finance Manager at Piramit Securities. Uğur Konuk has held Capital Markets Level 3 and Derivatives licenses since 2002. He is married and has three children.

Bora Tezgüler

Director - Portfolio Manager

Bora Tezgüler has over 30 years of experience in finance, investor relations, and equity research. Before starting his role as a Portfolio Manager/Director at Sparta Portfolio, he served as the Director of Investor Relations at Doğan Holding from 2022 to 2024, where he was responsible for investor communications, strategy development, financial reporting, and corporate positioning. From 2009 to 2022, Tezgüler worked at Ak Investment as the Vice President and Equity Research Analyst, where he produced detailed financial analyses, valuation models, and investment recommendations. He provided market analyses for institutional investors and coordinated with sales teams to share research findings. Between 1999 and 2009, Tezgüler held senior analyst positions at ING, Koç Holding, and various brokerage firms.

Mehmet Özgür Karabağ

Direktör - Portföy Yöneticisi

Previously, he worked at KPMG, Yapı Kredi Group, and Deloitte in various positions. He has 10 years of experience in research, corporate finance, project finance, auditing, and valuation, as well as over 10 years of experience in the asset management sector. He graduated from Boğaziçi University in Economics in 2000. He also worked as a Research Assistant and Lecturer for a total of 5 years at Emory University's Economics Department. He holds Capital Market Activities Level 3 and Derivatives licenses.

Yazid Suleiman

Yatırım Danışmanı

Yazid Bey, InvestAZ Yatırım, Tera Yatırım ve Alternatif Bank Grubu'nda çeşitli Kurumsal Finans pozisyonlarında görev almış ve kurumsal finans, şirket değerlemesi, M&A ve halka arzlar alanında deneyime sahiptir.

Anadolu Üniversitesi'nden MBA ve Bankacılık & Finans alanında Yüksek Lisans derecesine, İstanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi'nden ise Ekonomi alanında Yüksek Lisans derecesine sahiptir.

Ayrıca, Certifed Management Accountant (CMA) , SPL Düzey 3 ve Türev Araçlar lisanslarına sahiptir.

Aysun Sarı

Risk and Compliance Director

Mısırlıoğlu started his professional career in 1992 as an Assistant Specialist at Akdeniz Securities A.Ş. In 1993, he moved to Tekstilbank A.Ş., where he worked as a broker responsible for Templeton Emerging Markets Fund transactions. Until 2001, he was the manager of the equities trading unit at Tekstil Securities A.Ş. In 2002, he briefly worked as the Branch Coordinator at Riva Securities A.Ş. Until 2011, he held the position of Futures Markets Manager at Bank Pozitif A.Ş. and Endeks Derivatives A.Ş. In 2012, he became the General Manager at Eurasia Real Estate Investment Trust A.Ş. and later worked as the Investor Relations Manager at Eurasia Petroleum and Tourism Facilities A.Ş. From 2015 to 2017, he worked as the Investor Relations Manager and Corporate Governance Committee Member at Trabzonspor Sportif A.Ş. Currently, he serves as the Risk and Compliance Director at Sparta Asset Management Inc.

Mustafa Kerem Kurtul

Mustafa Kerem Kurtul, 2022 Yılında Marmara Üniversitesi Ekonomi Bölümünden mezun olduktan sonra finans yüksek lisansını Hollanda’da Utrecht Üniversitesi’nde tamamlamıştır.

Kurumsal finansman, finansal modelleme, değerleme ve halka arz süreçleri üzerine deneyimi olan Mustafa Kerem Kurtul, 1. Düzey CFA sınavını da başarıyla geçmesinin yanında Sermaye Piyasası Faaliyetleri İleri Düzey Lisansı’na sahiptir.

Barış Kaynakdemir

Bilgi İşlem Uzmanı

Barış Kaynakdemir was born in 2000 in Ankara and graduated from Atılım University in 2024 with a degree in Software Engineering (100% English). Throughout his education, he developed competencies in software development, testing processes, and system analysis. During his internship at YD Yazılım as a Full Stack Developer, he actively participated in both front-end and back-end development processes, gaining experience in teamwork, project management, and software architecture. During his internship as a Tester at the Presidential Digital Transformation Office, he worked on software testing processes, bug management, and quality control mechanisms. Through these experiences in different corporate environments, he was able to strengthen his technical knowledge through practical application. Barış Kaynakdemir is currently working as an IT Specialist at Sparta Portfolio Management Inc.

Hakan Doğan BEDİR

Internal Control - Inspection - Inspector

Hakan Doğan Bedir was born in Istanbul in 1958. He graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Economics in 1984. He began his professional career in 1984 at Çukurova Foreign Trade, where he worked as a Regional Manager and Foreign Trade Specialist until 1989. In 1990, he worked as an Investment Specialist and Broker at Yapı Kredi Securities. He started working at Pamukbank in 1995. Since 2024, he has been serving as the Internal Control and Inspection Manager at Sparta Asset Management. His areas of expertise include capital markets and investment transaction mechanisms.

Şule Özdemir

Mali İşler / Operasyon / İnsan Kaynakları Direktörü

Şule Özdemir, 2012 yılında Erciyes Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi İşletme Bölümü’nden mezun olmuştur.

Kariyerine SMMM stajıyla başlayan Özdemir, farklı sektörlerde muhasebe ve finans alanında edindiği deneyimlerin ardından, 2020 yılında PKF İstanbul Bağımsız Denetim A.Ş.’de Muhasebe Yetkilisi olarak görev yapmıştır. Burada ulusal ve uluslararası firmaların muhasebe süreçlerinin mali mevzuat ve uluslararası standartlara uygun yürütülmesinde rol almıştır.

Sonrasında Aura Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş.’de muhasebe ve finans yetkilisi olarak görev almış; şirketin yanı sıra menkul kıymet, gayrimenkul ve girişim sermayesi yatırım fonlarının tüm muhasebe işlemlerini yürütmüştür. Daha sonra Bulls Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş.’de muhasebe yetkilisi olarak görevini sürdürmüştür.

2025 yılından bu yana Sparta Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş.’de Mali İşler / Operasyon / İnsan Kaynakları Direktörü olarak görev yapan Özdemir, mali ve idari süreçlerin yanı sıra insan kaynakları operasyonlarının da yönetimini üstlenmektedir.

Aynı zamanda Serbest Muhasebeci Mali Müşavirlik (SMMM) Ruhsatına sahiptir ve Sermaye Piyasası Lisanslama sınavlarına yönelik çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir.
